A Jordanian Man Arrested For Illegally Raising Funds For Charity

A Jordanian national has been arrested for illegally raising funds for charity. The 27-year-old man, known only by his initials M.A, conned people of KD50,000. It follows an investigation based on secret information that he raised donations without authorisation in Al-Salmiya district. Investigation revealed that the bogus philanthropist exploited human tragedies in the region to persuade people into donating money The Directorate of Criminal Investigation and Licencing at the Interior Ministry referred him to competent authorities.
