A 15-year-old Indian Girl Died After Falling From Building In Sharjah
Indian girl, 15, dies in fall from building in Sharjah . The incident happened in a building in the Al Nahda area of Sharjah. The girl fell from a 14th-floor balcony shortly after she returned home from school, according to a police official.
The girl, identified as M.Z., was discovered by her mother. When she could not find her in the house, she opened the window and saw her daughter lying motionless below, the officer said. Eyewitnesses reported the incident to police.
The girl died at the scene and her body was taken to Kuwait Hospital at about 3pm. The principal of the girl's school said she was deeply sad and shocked by the news. “She was a very happy girl," said the principal of the tenth-grader. "She came to school today and chatted and laughed with all the supervisors and her friends.
"I just visited her family who confirmed that she was a happy girl. She just came back from a Nasa trip where she was made the monitor. There is no reason for her to do this on purpose. We think it was an accident." On her Facebook profile page, the girl shared pictures of her with friends and loved ones, as well as selfies.
Sharjah Police urged parents to try to observe their children at all times. Eight children have died in Sharjah this year as a result of falling from windows or balconies. Seven children died in 2014, while four children were killed in 2013, Sharjah Police said.
