99% Of Kuwaitization Is In Petroleum
Arabic local newspaper Alanba reported that Minister of Oil and Acting Minister of Electricity and Water Dr. Khaled Al-Fadhel revealed that the percentage of Kuwaiti employees in the Kuwait Petroleum Corporation (the administrative building) exceeded 99% on permanent contracts, as there are 681 Kuwaiti employees compared to one employee of the citizens of Gulf countries, indicating that there are 26 employees On special contracts of professional and technical jobs that require expertise in their entirety that is not available in the local market.
In his response to a parliamentary question by Representative Dr. Muhammad Hadi Al-Huwaila, Al-Anbaa obtained a copy of it, Al-Anbaa stated that there are 148 employees on service contracts (a non-Kuwaiti employee work contract with a lump sum salary) for marginal jobs and support jobs that are difficult to fill with national workers.
He pointed out that the number of expatriate workers that have been laid off since the issuance of Civil Service Council Decision No. 11 of 2017 reached about 38 employees, including 6 employees on special contracts and 32 employees on service contracts.
He said that the number of national workers that have been appointed in the institution since the issuance of the decision reached 72 employees.
