988 New Covid Infections; 9 Deaths
Official Spokesman for the Ministry of Health, Dr. Abdullah Al-Sanad announced 988 new COVID 19 infections in the past 24 hours, bringing the total number of cases registered in the country to 393,605, while 9 deaths were recorded, including 8 of the unvaccinated, bringing the total number of recorded deaths to 2,293.
Al-Sanad added to Kuwait News Agency (KUNA) today, Monday, that 1,336 cases were recovered, bringing the total number of people recovered to 377,434, indicating that the percentage of total recovery cases out of the total injuries amounted to 95.89 percent.
He stated that the number of people receiving medical care in intensive care departments amounted to 317, while the total number of cases that were confirmed to be infected and are still receiving the necessary care reached 13878, while the total number of cases in (Covid 19) wards reached 1074. He stated that the number of swabs that were conducted during the same period amounted to 14,116, bringing the total number of examinations to 334,0473, indicating that the percentage of infections for the number of these swabs was 6.99 percent.
With regard to the percentage of injuries in the governorates, he said that it amounted to 28 percent in Hawalli, 26 percent in Al-Ahmadi, 23 percent in Al-Farwaniyah, 13 percent in Jahra, and 10 percent in the capital.
