60 Year Old Iraqi Citizen Arrested For Smuggling Huge Quantity Of Drugs

Officers from the Drug Control General Department arrested an Iraqi, in his 60s, for smuggling 245 kilograms of hashish and 27 kilograms of shabu with $30,000 cash in his possession. In a press statement, Director General of Custom General Department Jamaal Al-Jelawi disclosed that they received information about an Arab man approaching Abdally checkpoint and he is suspected of smuggling drugs.

A team, which was formed to apprehend the Iraqi, stopped him at Abdalli checkpoint. When the team inspected his vehicle, they found the abovementioned items hidden in different parts of the vehicle. Al-Jelawi praised the efforts exerted by the customs inspectors and DCGD officers in foiling the Iraqi’s drug smuggling attempt.
