44 Employees Of Ministry Of Finance Resign Over Enforcement Of The Fingerprint Attendance

12 July 2018 Kuwait

An official document showed that 44 employees have resigned from the Ministry of Finance since the enforcement of the fingerprint attendance system on Oct 1, 2017, reports Al-Anba daily. The document clarified though that not all the resignations are due to the fingerprint attendance system.

According to official statements, about 5,000 employees in different public institutions and ministries resigned in 2017 after the enforcement of the fingerprint attendance system.

Bloomberg quoted former Undersecretary of the ministry Khalifa Hamadah as saying that most of those who resigned did not report for work regularly and that they resigned for fear of being subjected to regulations covering the new attendance system.
