4 Arrested After Hot Chase
Security officers from the General Department of Public Security arrested four youths suspected of consuming drugs while trying to escape from the officers along the Fifth Ring Road.
During the chase, the driver of the car conveying the suspects hit the patrol car. Initially, the officers ordered the driver to pull over but he sped off, so the officers went after the car.
The suspects did not stop and continued with the escape until the officers caught up with them. Apparently, the driver was under the influence of drugs and he turned out to be wanted by law for financial crimes. Meanwhile, traffic officers apprehended the driver of a Corvette due to reckless driving and performing car stunts on King Fahad Road.
The arrest came after a video of his action went viral on social media in which his friends were praising him. Also, officers from the General Traffic Department arrested six individuals who violated traffic rules and confiscated 15 vehicles in a massive campaign along King Fahad Road. T
he officers carried out the operation to track down reckless drivers and those who violated traffic regulations. Meanwhile, officers affiliated to Hawalli Security Command arrested a citizen in possession of a piece of hashish and other narcotic substances. The suspect with the contraband was referred to relevant authorities for legal action.
