3 Factories Close In Ahmadi For Safety Violations

30 July 2023 Crime News

Kuwait Fire Service Directorate, headed by Lieutenant General Khaled Al-Mekrad, has closed three factories in Al-Ahmadi and Sabhan. The reason for this administrative closure was the factories’ failure to comply with safety and fire prevention requirements. This was especially given their storage of chemicals and highly flammable liquids. These closures were enforced after factories were given sufficient notices and warnings to rectify violations.

The force's public relations department stressed that these closures were part of a broader initiative. Inspection teams have conducted thorough campaigns on commercial and investment buildings, as well as industrial plots and factories, to ensure compliance with safety measures. The primary objective behind these inspections is to safeguard community security and well-being.

A call was issued by the Department of Public Relations and Information to all owners and tenants of factories, industrial plots, and commercial and investment buildings in light of these recent closures. They are urged to proactively implement safety requirements and promptly address any violations to prevent administrative closure in the future. Consequently, they can make a significant contribution to the community's safety and security.
