23 Stores Shut, 45 Citations Issued
Lieutenant General Abdel Fattah Al-Ali (Retd) who heads the committee that has been formed to ensure that everyone adheres to health requirements in order to preserve the safety of everyone and limit the spread of the Corona virus, told Al-Seyassah daily on the sidelines of a tour to a number of stores and health clubs in the Ahmadi Governorate, accompanied by teams from the Kuwait Municipality, the Public Manpower Authority, the Ministry of Commerce and Industry and the Public Authority for Food, that the stores are required to apply health requirements including social distancing, wearing face masks, provide had sterilizers, provision to measure temperature and everything that is required by the nature of their work, says Al-Seyassah.
Al-Ali team affirmed that, by emphasizing the application of health requirements, “our goal is to protect everyone from this dangerous pandemic and not to put restrictions on people because we are passing through exceptional circumstances that require everyone’s cooperation with the state that has harnessed all its capabilities to overcome this crisis and eliminate this pandemic.”
Al-Ali stated everyone has to be responsible, and adhere to the decisions issued by the Council of Ministers because the matter does not allow to be lenient with this epidemic since the lives of people are endangered, as “we continue to lose friends, brothers and sisters on daily basis because of this pandemic, and everyone must be aware of the extent of the danger gatherings pose and not adhering to the application of health requirements, whose goal is to preserve the lives of people.” Al-Ali confirmed the health requirements committee teams paid 4,802 visits within 24 hours only and issued 45 citations, 290 warnings and closed 23 stores for violating health requirements.
