220,577 Students To Sit For Final Exam From Sunday And On May 20
Some 220,577 students in fifth elementary, the intermediate, tenth and eleventh grades at public and private schools will begin their final exam for the current academic year on Sunday, and twelfth grade students will start on May 20, reports Al-Qabas daily.
Recent education statistics indicates that fifth grade students in all educational zones add up to 30,322 and their counterparts in intermediate level reach 114,925. It noted 32,515 students are in the sixth grade, 29,551 in grade seven, 27,605 in grade eight, and 25,254 in the ninth grade.
Ministry of Education stated its officials are well prepared to supervise and manage the students (male and female) who will sit for the exam.
The total number of students (male and female students) in promotion classes that are expected to write the exam in public and private schools, in addition to those in special education and religious institutes, is 113,176. This constitutes science and art students in grades eleven and twelve.
It added 39,842 are in tenth grade, while 14,379 of them are in the art section of eleventh grade, and 21,109 others are in the science section of the same grade.
Their counterparts in the art section of twelfth grade are 15,753 and 22,093 others in the science section.
In the capital education zone, a total of 12,509 students are expected to sit for second semester final exams in the promotion classes, of which 11,194 are in Hawalli, and Farwaniya constitute 17,917.
The number of students to sit for the same exam in Ahmadi is 20,747 and their counterparts in Jahra are 17,817, while 8,730 are in Mubarak Al-Kabeer.
Students from private schools scheduled to write the exam are 23,986, and those in special education schools constitute 276 and the religious institutes have 1,275 students
