2.5 Million Eggs Consumed Daily In Kuwait

According to a survey conducted by Al-Rai daily based on the statements by sales employees of poultry companies, the daily consumption of eggs in Kuwait has reached 2.5 million, reports Al-Rai daily.

These eggs are pumped into the market daily by eight poultry companies in 7,000 cartons which are sent to cooperative societies, markets and grocery stores.

The sales employees of these poultry companies affirmed that eggs are available in abundance, and its rate will return to normal within two weeks after the end of gestation period of hens. They indicated that Kuwait has never imported a single egg for many years.

Meanwhile, Board Chairman of Al- Wuhaib Poultry Company Hamed Al- Wuhaib said egg production in Kuwait has been more than 150 percent for many years. He explained that there is no problem at all in providing this vital commodity in the local market
