1% Of The Eligible Population Is Vaccinated Daily
A member of the Vaccination Committee at the Ministry of Health, Dr. Khaled Al-Saeed said that the speed of vaccination has noticeably increased in Kuwait, Al Jarida reported.
Al-Saeed revealed, in a tweet, that the vaccination rate exceeds 1 percent of the eligible population daily. Last Monday 47,000 people were vaccinated.
He pointed out that vaccination is available to pregnant and lactating women, stressing the importance of encouraging them to register and receive the vaccine. Studies have proven the safety and effectiveness of vaccination for this segment.
Al-Saeed added that the death numbers are frightening, calling for vaccination and adherence to precautionary and preventive measures and health requirements.
He called for avoiding social events during this period, pointing out that doctors work in Covid wards to treat record numbers of patients, and stressed that the situation is difficult, and everyone needs to adhere to health requirements.
Delta variant
For his part, the head of the advisory committee to confront Corona, Dr. Khaled Al-Jarallah said that the outbreak of the Indian delta mutation exceeds the British alpha mutant globally, regionally, and locally.
Al-Jarallah said that the Delta wave targets the unvaccinated, noting that the epidemiological situation depends on adherence to health requirements and vaccination.
