The Resident Representative of the World Bank in Kuwait, Ghassan Khoja, said that the Bank is closely following the laws and legislation of the labor market in Kuwait, and looks with great interest to the principles of equal opportunities between both sexes and equality in the public and private sectors in Kuwait.

Al-Qabas quoted Khoja as saying, during his meeting with the head of the National Office for Human Rights, Ambassador Jassem Al-Mubaraki, that there are differences in the working conditions in the private sector compared to its government counterpart in Kuwait, especially with regard to the number of days of maternity leave, for example.

In turn, Ambassador Jassem Al-Mubaraki reviewed the role of the Civil Services Commission in achieving the vision of the partnership between the State of Kuwait and the World Bank, most notably improving the business environment and conditions for employment in Kuwait.
