Withdrawal From Future Generation Fund Due To Lack Of Liquidity

The government has brought the option of withdrawing from the Future Generations Reserve Fund to the fore once again under the pressure of the lack of liquidity in the state treasury, Al Qabas daily reported.

Finance Minister Khalifa Hamadeh stressed the need for the government and the National Assembly to cooperate to allow the issuance of bonds and orderly from the Future Generations Reserve Fund, to tackle the lack of liquidity in the general reserve as a temporary measure until the completion of the reforms contained in the government’s work program.
