Wafra Agricultural Area Cleaned: 330 Tons Of Waste Removed By Municipality
In a notable achievement, the Kuwait Municipality has effectively eliminated 330 tons of agricultural waste through a comprehensive cleaning initiative in the Al-Wafra Agricultural District. The Cleaning Department in Al-Ahmadi Governorate spearheaded the campaign, employing state-of-the-art equipment to ensure the task's success, as reported by Al-Rai daily.
Nawaf Al-Mutairi, the Acting Director of the Al-Ahmadi Governorate Municipality Branch, disclosed that the operation not only targeted waste removal but also addressed violations. This resulted in the removal of 10 abandoned cars and 8 food trucks, along with the issuance of 9 road occupancy reports.
Emphasizing the core objective of these field inspection campaigns, Al-Mutairi highlighted the identification and rectification of negative practices, accompanied by stringent legal measures against offenders. The municipality's supervisory team, particularly in Al-Ahmadi, remains steadfast in elevating cleanliness levels within its jurisdiction.
Regular field tours are conducted by the team to eliminate eyesores and address road occupancy issues, preserving the aesthetic appeal of the governorate. Al-Mutairi reiterated the municipality's dedication to enforcing legal measures against those breaching regulations related to public cleanliness and road occupancy. Ongoing awareness initiatives, including multilingual posters targeting Indian, Filipino, and English-speaking residents, underscore the commitment to educating the public on proper waste disposal practices.
The campaign spanned all areas within the Al-Ahmadi Governorate Municipality branch, encompassing activities such as monitoring public cleanliness, overseeing cleaning contractors and companies, regulating street vendors, and enforcing laws related to public cleanliness and road occupancy.
The municipality's unwavering commitment to a clean and orderly environment is evident through continuous efforts and community-focused awareness programs.
