Two Officers Injured In Raqqa Drug Bust, Iraqi Suspects Detained For Hashish Trafficking

Two drug enforcement officers were seriously injured while executing an arrest in the Raqqa area. Despite their injuries, the officers successfully apprehended an Iraqi expatriate on charges of drug trafficking, specifically involving hashish.

During the investigation, another Iraqi individual residing in an apartment in the Jabriya area admitted to being involved. With permission from the public prosecution, the police raided the apartment.

The second suspect, found with a quarter of a kilo of hashish, resisted arrest, resulting in a broken window and injuries to two detectives. The suspect was eventually subdued and taken into custody. He has been referred to the public prosecution for further legal proceedings.
