Two Doctors Sentenced Over Medical Mistakes

According to an Arabic newspaper, Judge Bashayer Abdul-Jalil sentenced two doctors who applied toothpaste instead of medical ointment to a patient's eye, resulting in the victim losing sight.

Attorney Mustafa Mulla Yousself pleaded before the court that the doctors not only caused physical harm to his client, but also psychological trauma. Each of the two medical practitioners was sentenced to one year in jail.
