Training Institutes Issue Fictitious Certificates Of Lebanon, France And The Us To Students In Kuwait

01 April 2019 Kuwait

A covert investigation conducted by the Al-Qabas daily on fictitious certificates has reached the bottom of the issue, reports the daily. The daily added, these certificates are ‘cooked up in the local market’ and sold to prospective buyers.

According to the daily the motto of these local offices (institutes) – which are operating under the cover of licensed training institutes – have been operating for the past 13 years under the noses of concerned authorities.

The institutes seem to say ‘you name it and we have it’ – high school and university degrees from branches of schools and universities of Arab and foreign countries that are not recognized by the Kuwaiti authorities.
Paradoxically, there are officials in well-known banks and companies working in the country who have ‘bought’ certificates from these institutes, one of which has a headquarters on the third floor of a building in Salmiya.

The office hands out certificates which show they are issued by institutes in Lebanon, France and the US to students in Kuwait who have not left the country even once or studied at these institutes.

The fictitious shops or what they call institutes allegedly charge KD 9,200 for a university degree to be paid in four installments of KD 2,300 per year to make it sound genuine.
