Tow Bar From A Push Back Tractor Snapped Causing The Vehicle To Collide With The Aircraft
On 12 June, at 18:15 hours local time (15:15 hours UTC), at Kuwait International Airport, while in the process of pushing back a Kuwait Airways A320, Flight KU332 to Trivandrum, the tow bar from a push-back tractor snapped causing the vehicle to collide with the aircraft.
All passengers were safely off-loaded with no injuries reported. The aircraft suffered some minor damage to its underside area and an investigation into the cause of the break in the tow bar is now underway. Kuwait Airways remains committed to safety is fully compliant with Kuwait’s Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) and international safety regulations.
