Three Drones Attempted To Land At Central Prison, One Was Seized, And Two Escaped

The Correctional Institutions Security Department of the General Administration of Correctional Institutions foiled an attempt to fly three drones into the Central Prison facility in Sulaibiya.

Two drones were captured, but the other two fled - one towards Sulaibiya, the other towards Al-Raqi, according to security sources.

Security sources told a local Arabic daily that the matter has been investigated, and the seized drone was handed over to the Criminal Evidence Department for fingerprinting.

The prison authorities initiated investigations with the inmates to find out who would receive the drones and what the motives were.

The General Administration of Correctional Institutions, in cooperation with Special Security Forces, raided the Central Prison wards and seized 70 mobile phones, cables, chargers, internet supply devices, knives, and quantity of drugs.
