Ten-year Imprisonment For Assault Culminating In Victim Suicide

As a result of an investigation by the Court of Cassation, an individual convicted of indecent assault on an Asian woman who tragically committed suicide by jumping from her apartment window was convicted and sentenced to 10 years in prison.

According to the Public Prosecution, the accused unlawfully assaulted the victim and engaged in non-consensual sexual relations with her on the day of the incident. The perpetrator reportedly restrained, beat, and incapacitated the victim, resulting in injuries detailed in the forensic medical report. Due to the severity of the assault, the victim threw herself from the apartment window.
