Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Defense, and Acting Minister of Interior, Sheikh Fahad Yousef Saud Al-Sabah, emphasized today the importance of unified efforts and coordination across sectors, intensifying security measures, promptly addressing issues, and taking decisive action against any individual who threatens the country’s security.
Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Defense, and Acting Minister of Interior, Sheikh Fahad Yousef Saud Al-Sabah chaired a security meeting with assistant undersecretaries of the Ministry of Interior on Thursday.
These directives were issued in a statement by Sheikh Fahad Al-Yousef, as reported in a press release by the General Administration of Security Relations and Media, following his chairmanship of a security meeting with assistant undersecretaries of the Ministry of Interior. He congratulated the newly appointed undersecretaries for earning the trust of the political leadership, recognizing their dedicated efforts in safeguarding national security. Sheikh Fahad Al-Yousef urged continued diligence, integrity, dedication, and the implementation of action plans for modernization and development across all sectors.
He emphasized the importance of maintaining an open-door policy and actively engaging in the field to realize the vision of the political leadership and uphold institutional excellence. Furthermore, he stressed the imperative of enhancing security and traffic measures nationwide to ensure the safety of children, especially in light of the upcoming “Girgi’an” celebration during the holy month of Ramadan. He underscored the necessity of implementing measures to address any violations of the law.
On Wednesday, the Ministry of Interior revealed a comprehensive security and traffic plan for the holy month of Ramadan, aimed at ensuring the safety and security of all citizens and residents. The plan involves deploying both fixed and mobile security patrols across all governorates. In a press statement, the Public Relations and Security Media Department of the Ministry of Interior urged the public to refrain from organizing special events in residential areas and open areas during Ramadan.
Additionally, it emphasized the importance of avoiding the use of vehicles, entertainment setups, popular bands, and food carts in these areas to prevent road closures, traffic congestion, and potential hazards to children, especially with the approaching occasion of “Girgi’an” midway through the holy month. Parents have been urged to closely monitor their children and not rely solely on domestic workers, while emphasizing the importance of adhering to security and traffic instructions. The Ministry reiterated its commitment to maintaining continuous communication with the public to achieve safety goals, alongside taking legal actions against violators. Furthermore, drivers were reminded to exercise caution and reduce speed, particularly on internal roads, and to remain vigilant on public roads to ensure the safety of all road users. The Ministry’s plan aims to create a secure environment throughout Ramadan, fostering a sense of peace and harmony within the community.
