Streamlining School Security With 2,800 Fingerprint Devices
Education districts have been asked by the Ministry of Education to allow installation activities to take place outside regular working hours and on holidays in order to streamline the fingerprint project implementation. By doing so, the project, which involves the deployment of 2,800 fingerprint devices in approximately 900 schools, will be completed faster.
According to a letter addressed to the Undersecretary of Public Education by Dr. Salman Al-Lafi, the Acting Undersecretary of the Ministry of Education outlined this directive. According to the letter obtained by Al-Anbaa, the contracted company responsible for providing, installing, operating, and maintaining the fingerprint attendance proof devices should be able to work beyond official working hours. To ensure the project's swift and efficient execution, Dr. Al-Lafi urged cooperation.
In various regions of the country, the contracted company is actively installing 2,800 fingerprint devices and their associated accessories at 900 schools. It is noteworthy that every school will be equipped with at least three devices. Fingerprinting is expected to cover over 90,000 school employees, assuming the installation is completed successfully and on time, with official approval from the Ministry of Education.
