Society Receives 295 Complaints From Expatriate Workers Within 9 Months

The head of the Kuwait Society for Human Rights, Khaled Al-Hamidi, announced “the association has received 295 labor complaints from expatriate workers from January to September 2021,” saying “182 of these complaints have been filed by female workers and 113 males.”

Al-Rai quoting Al-Hamidi indicated “70 of these complaints have been referred to the judiciary, and 225 were resolved amicably.”

Al-Hamidi said in a statement to Al-Rai the society provided 4,032 legal consultations, including 1,154 for the Indian community, 799 for the Arabs, 779 for the Filipinos, 678 for the English-speaking communities, and 282 for the Urdu-speaking communities.”

Al-Hamidi said the society also provided psychological support in 252 cases — 191 females and 61 males.
