Siemens Prepared Packages For Street Cleaners In Kuwait
As part of the company’s commitment to corporate social responsibility, Siemens Kuwait prepared 248 packages for street cleaners in Kuwait. Employees and members of the management team, including Adrian Wood, CEO and Rainer Lang, CFO of Siemens Kuwait, distributed the packages to 124 workers.
Each worker received two packages, containing food items such as rice, noodles, cooking oil, canned foods and biscuits, as well as personal care products, including toothpaste and soap. The donations were made across nine areas in Kuwait – Al-Rabya, AlZahra, Al-Shuhada, Bayan, Farwaniya, Sabah Al Nasser, Omariya, Andalus and Firdous.
The items were purchased with funds donated by the employees and matched by the company. Siemens has been active in Kuwait since 1959, contributing to building key infrastructure in the country. It currently employs around 300 people there.
“At Siemens, we define sustainable development as the means to achieving profitable and long-term growth. This donation is a small gesture to say thank you to the people around us who put in effort every day to make our cities more livable,” said Wood. “We have a clear commitment to think and act in the interest of future generations, balancing people, country and profit.”
