Selling Meat Inside Cooperatives And Home Delivery

An informed source revealed that the municipality allowed meat shops located in cooperatives and central markets to sell foodstuffs to carry out its activities and sell to consumers directly, indicating that the stores located in the branches of cooperatives and in investment areas are not allowed to practice the activity.

The source said in a statement to  that there are companies that sell meat and livestock with a license and sell through the home delivery service, and that consumers can communicate with them and order through the phone. The source added that the stores of live poultry are not allowed to practice their activities and open the shop, whether they are in the branches of cooperative societies or in investment areas,

noting that the decision of the general municipality director allowed the grocers to practice their activities and sell only through delivery service. And that the supervisory teams in all the municipalities of the governorates will, from today, inspect the groceries to ensure the commitment of workers not to sell to consumers directly and implement health requirements and that the workers have a health card stating that they are free of diseases
