Salwa Municipality Cracks Down On Building Violations
The Kuwait Municipality has launched a comprehensive field inspection campaign targeting residential properties in Salwa. According to Al-Jarida Daily, the campaign aims to identify violations related to the construction of additional floors.
According to Hussain Dashti, Superintendent of the Engineering Control Department in the Hawalli Governorate Branch, the campaign will continue until December 31. As Dashti pointed out, the campaign's primary goal is to ensure that all construction and restoration work adheres to Kuwait Municipality laws and regulations. During today’s inspections, the field team uncovered several violations, including the use of substandard construction materials. Some homeowners used mildly illegal materials to build additional floors or rooms, intending to rent them out to foreign families or singles.
