Residence Renewal For Non-graduate Expats To Cost Max 1,100
The Kuwait Insurance Federation has announced it has completed the study on insurance fees for non-graduate expatriates, ‘60-year-old’ for one year tied to the renewal of their work permits. The proposal has been and submitted to the Minister of Commerce and Industry, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Public Authority for Manpower.
Manpower sources revealed the health insurance and the residence renewal fee will be between 1,000 and 1,100 dinars annually, including, so that workers can renew the work and ‘join’ the labor market, Al Jarida reported.
The sources expect the annual insurance value to range between 500 and 600 dinars, in addition to 500 dinars residence renewal fee.
Sources told Al-Jarida “the minutes of the meeting during which the PAM board of directors headed by the minister approved the renewal for those who have reached 60 years of age, has not been approved until now, especially in light of the judicial rulings that were recently issued to stop the implementation of resolution (520/2020) banning the issuance of work permits for this category of expatriates.
Despite the passage of more than a year, thousands of workers are still covered by the decision, waiting for the adoption of the amendments that will be added to its provisions, as it will allow them to renew their residencies according to specific controls and conditions.
