Regulations Are Amended To Support Small Businesses By PAM
Small and medium enterprises (SMEs) are being supported by changes made to certain work regulations by the Public Authority for Manpower. These revisions bring about changes in requirements for restaurant activities and consumer order delivery companies, reported Al-Rai Daily.
According to the new amendments, 10 workers will be needed for restaurant activities, while 15 workers will be needed. Additionally, for licensed restaurants, five additional workers will be granted after a subsequent inspection to ensure the smooth running of the activity and the readiness of the facility.
As part of its efforts to support consumer order delivery companies, the Authority has also adjusted its controls. The year of manufacture of cars utilized by these companies should now not exceed seven years, up from the previous limit of five years.
Also, the limit on motorcycle years of manufacture has been extended to four years from three years previously. In addition, the financial guarantee requirement for motorcycle registration, previously set at 500 dinars, has been eliminated as per the General Traffic Department's new regulations. To provide further support to small business owners, this elimination is being implemented.
