Recruiting Labour In Kuwait And India: Opportunities And Challenges
In a welcoming address, Marzouq Al-Otaibi, Acting Director General of the Public Authority for Manpower, welcomed the Ambassador of the Republic of India, Dr. Adarsh Swaika, and his accompanying delegation. As he emphasized his commitment to sustaining the positive relationship between the two nations, Al-Otaibi commended the enduring and esteem relations between the two nations. During the meeting, collaborative strategies were discussed regarding the recruitment and employment of Indian workers in Kuwait.
Kuwait's labor market attracts workers with specialized skills that align with its needs, Al-Otaibi told the Indian delegation. His goal is to increase the recruitment of skilled workers, which will benefit Kuwait's economic and development interests, as well as the well-being of the workers and their home countries. The discussions also touched on issues related to Indian workers, with collaboration with relevant stakeholders made to address challenges. In his address, Al-Otaibi stressed the importance of the Authority in providing legal protection and ensuring conducive work conditions that safeguard the rights of all workers, including those from India.
Specifically, Dr. Adarsh Swaika expressed gratitude to Kuwait and the Public Authority for Manpower for their dedicated efforts in handling Indian workforce matters. Throughout the meeting, he reiterated his commitment to strengthening relations between the two countries for the mutual benefit of both. Dr. Fahd Al-Murad, Acting Deputy Director General for Workforce Protection, attended the meeting.
