Ramadan Girgian ‘spirit’ Remains Among Families

The spirit of Ramadan Girgian remains among families, particularly the children; as they celebrated the occasion with family members bringing clothes and decorations for children while chanting: “Peace be to their son, O God, grant him to his mother, O God,” reports Al-Rai daily. Parents were keen on celebrating Girgian within the family through the gathering of relatives, singing, organizing competitions and distributing gifts. Restrictions aimed at curbing the spread of coronavirus did not prevent families from celebrating Girgian despite the absence of groups of children knocking on the doors of houses, singing for the children in these houses and getting their share of Girgian goodies.
