Professors At KU May Soon Be Able To Apply For Family Visas
In a recent update, there are indications that the Ministry of Interior is reviewing a proposal put forth by Kuwait University. A detailed report, compiled by competent authorities within the Ministry, outlines the university's vision for the potential implementation of a mechanism enabling academic staff members to obtain entry visas for their families. This proposal aims to replicate the existing provisions for those employed in the medical field, with the goal of fostering family stability.
Following the completion of the report, a meeting took place between the relevant authorities and representatives from Kuwait University, aligning with the Ministry's directive. Attendees included Dr. Fayez Al-Dhafiri, Acting Secretary-General of the University, Dr. Fahd Al-Fadhli, Acting Deputy Secretary-General of the University for Scientific Affairs, and Khaled Al-Ali, Acting Director of the University Administration for Academic Staff Affairs. The discussions during the meeting revolved around the proposed mechanism, designed to streamline the process of issuing family entry visas for spouses and children of academic staff members who meet the specified conditions.
After thorough deliberation, the concerned authorities have submitted a comprehensive report to the Ministry, providing details on Kuwait University's request.
