Police In Kuwait Banned Traveling To Iran, Afghanistan, And More

A circular issued by Lieutenant General Anwar Al-Barjas, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Interior. According to Aljarida daily, police officers are forbidden from traveling to countries witnessing unrest, such as Iran, Afghanistan, Yemen, Lebanon, Syria, Iraq, and Sudan, without prior permission from employers (the head of the sector, an assistant undersecretary or director general depending on the circumstances). The circular indicated that this decision comes within the framework of the ministry’s concern for the safety of the members of the police force, and to preserve their security and safety.

Those who violate the circular are subject to legal accountability in accordance with administrative order No. 3/1994 regarding standing orders for police officers and instructions issued in this regard. As a result, all ministry agencies were urged to take precise steps to implement the circular.
