Over 1,000 Seek Visit Permits In Kuwait's Governorates On Day One
A security source disclosed a notable surge in visitors across Kuwait's six governorates, totaling around 1,000 individuals. These visitors applied for visit permits for their relatives through the "Meta" platform, marking the commencement of the visitation process.
During their visits, individuals underwent necessary documentation procedures, including presenting round-trip travel tickets. Moreover, papers like marriage contracts or birth certificates, required for parental visits, needed authentication from their country's authorities, the Kuwaiti embassy, and their country's consulate, alongside approval from the Kuwaiti Foreign Ministry.
Only those with approved documents could attach travel tickets issued by Kuwait Airways and Jazeera Airways. Additionally, visitors had to pledge not to extend their stay beyond the allotted duration, adhere to health protocols, and seek medical assistance from private health centers if needed.
For nationals from restricted countries, a visit to the General Administration of Residence Affairs in the Dajeej area was obligatory to assess their eligibility for family visits.
As per the source, family and business visits are limited to one month and are non-renewable, whereas tourist visits extend up to three months and can be arranged online.
