Online Application For 'home-based' Businesses Launched - Ministry
The Ministry of Commerce and Industry announced Thursday launching the online application process for establishing 'home-based' businesses through the website of the Kuwait Business Center. The website will also provide requirements and fees needed to obtain the permit, a ministry statement said.
Application will be on the website (www.kbc.gov.kw), while the Twitter handle (kbc_support) is being designated for technical support. On June 7 this year, Minister of Commerce and Industry Khaled Al-Roudhan launched home-based business permits, allowing some 19 home-related activities in bid to further improve business environment in Kuwait.
;The businesses include, among others, fashion design, hotel booking, gardens' maintenance and software programming. Home-based businesses are usually small and operate from the owner's home office, with a very small number of employees.
