The Public Authority for Combating Corruption “Nazaha” said an investigator working for the General Investigations Department has been referred to the Public Prosecution for what it called “obstructing the course of justice”, reports Al-Rai daily. The investigator is found guilty of violating Article No. 146 of Penal Code No. 16 of 1960 as stipulated in Article No. 22 of Law No. 2 of 2016 regarding the establishment of Nazaha.
The daily said Nazaha continues in its efforts and procedures to examine and collect evidence and carry out detailed investigations in all serious reports the authority receives, and always appreciates the role of whistleblowers in exercising their role in helping the authority to access the necessary information and data on corruption incidents, and at the same time, committing itself to provide the utmost levels of protection and necessary confidentiality.
