Officer Injured In Fight For Gun
Police have arrested an unidentified Kuwaiti for allegedly attempting to grab the service revolver of the police officer and charged with resisting arrest and assaulting the arresting officer, reports Al-Rai daily. The daily added, this happened when in the suburb of Abdullah Al-Mubarak when the police patrol on security check of the area, suspected a motorist.
The man was ordered to pull over and after checking his ID police discovered he was wanted by law for failure to pay debt. At this time a verbal altercation happened between the suspect and the officers and the man was reminded that he was wanted by law and that there is an arrest warrant against him, he resisted arrest and attempt to grab the revolver. He was overpowered but one of the officers got injured and had to be taken to a hospital for treatmen.
