No Bonus For Some ‘front-liners’
The percentage of government employees entitled for excellence rewards has significantly increased this year compared to previous years, especially after the Civil Service Commission exempted some employees from working in government institutions, reports Al-Rai daily. The sources pointed out that ‘in recent years, some employees were not able to obtain the ‘degree of excellence’ because they were absent from work and the period of absence exceeded the period specified in the decision of the CSC for those eligible to receive excellence rewards. The daily added, some of these institutions asked the Ministry of Finance to increase the amount of bonus allocated to their respective institutions to disburse the money to the beneficiaries, but the Ministry of Finance has rejected their requests.
The sources revealed that the approval of the CSC to consider some to exempt from work is not a condition for the payment of the reward to them, even if they have they belong to the ‘excellence reward’ category. The sources indicated lists are being prepared of those who were from working and the same will be submitted to the administrative affairs sectors to exclude them from the reward. Over the next few days, the Ministry of Health will open the Kuwait Center for Vaccination Against “COVID-19” in vehicles stationed on the Sheikh Jaber Al-Ahmad Bridge.
It is said the center will vaccinate more than 5,000 people daily, and that 80 vehicles can be accommodated at the same time, reports Al-Anba daily. On the other hand, the Ministry of Health plans to pay ‘infection-risk’ allowances to all workers in hospitals, specialized medical centers, quarantines, vaccination centers, laboratories and all facilities in affiliated to COVID-19 service during the pandemic, similar to that of Jaber Al-Ahmad Hospital and the field hospital. The Minitry of Health is studying the response to the Civil Service Commission inquiries in this regard, as the Ministry will prepare a detailed statement on the number of workers who will be granted allowances, job titles, the most important work centers and businesses in which they are exposed to infection.
