Next Thursday, The 23rd Kuwait Ophthalmology Conference Begins
Dr. Ahmed Al-Foudari, Chairman of the Council of Ophthalmology Departments in the Ministry of Health, has unveiled plans for the highly anticipated 23rd Kuwait Ophthalmology Conference, scheduled to commence next Thursday. Under the esteemed patronage of Dr. Ahmed Al-Awadhi, Minister of Health, the conference aims to delve into the latest advancements in ophthalmology and surgical practices.
In a press statement released on Monday, Dr. Al-Foudari outlined the extensive agenda of the three-day conference, emphasizing the participation of 46 esteemed experts from various corners of the globe. Notable contributors include renowned professionals from the United States of America, Canada, Switzerland, Italy, Spain, the Netherlands, Britain, India, and Japan, as well as representatives from Saudi Arabia, the Emirates, Qatar, Oman, and Egypt. Additionally, the heads of the Gulf Association for Ophthalmology and the Egyptian (Ramadia) Society are expected to attend.
Dr. Al-Foudari underscored the pivotal role of the conference in facilitating the exchange of scientific knowledge among international practitioners and ensuring alignment with the latest global medical protocols in ophthalmology and surgery. The event will encompass a diverse array of lectures and workshops, covering an extensive spectrum of eye diseases and surgical interventions.
Topics slated for discussion include emergency eye injuries, advancements in cataract surgery techniques, valve implantation procedures for managing high intraocular pressure, and the therapeutic applications of Botox injections in treating select eye conditions. The conference will introduce a novel dual lecture system featuring two audio channels, enabling simultaneous discussions across various ophthalmological specialties.
This innovative approach aims to maximize participation and enhance the dissemination of knowledge across diverse areas of expertise, encompassing corneal disorders, retinal diseases, pediatric ophthalmology, strabismus, oculoplastic surgery, lacrimal disorders, and optic nerve pathologies.
