Nazaha Refers ‘interior’ Officers To Public Prosecution

The Public Authority for Anti-Corruption (Nazaha) said officers from the Ministry of Interior have been referred to the Public Prosecution for forging official documents.

They are charged with violating Articles No. 257, 259 and 260 of the Penal Code, under Article 19 of Law No. 1/1993 related to the protection of public funds.

Nazaha said it is determined to continue its efforts to examine and collect evidence and investigate all serious reports the Authority receives.

Nazaha added it always appreciates the role played by the whistleblowers who help the authority by providing vital information and data on issues of corruption.

Nazaha went on to say it is committed to providing the utmost levels of protection to whistleblowers and maintain confidentiality of all reports it receives.
