Municipality Raid In Various Areas Of Farwaniya
Public Hygiene and Road Works Department of Farwaniya Municipality launched a wide campaign in various areas of Farwaniya Governorate during which nine neglected and abandoned vehicles were lifted and 5,168 cubic metres of residential and construction wastes were removed, reports Al-Seyassah daily.
In a press statement, Director of the department Eng Sa’ad Al-Khurainej said explained that such field campaigns will continue in all areas of the governorate with the aim of enhancing the level of cleanliness. All necessary equipment and machinery will be availed to transport the waste materials to landfills and scrap yards.
Besides the removal of waste materials and lifting of abandoned cars, the campaign also included the cleaning of 1,350 garbage containers of various sizes and replacement of 81 garbage containers. Eng Al-Khurainej affirmed the keenness of the department’s inspectors in all areas to take necessary legal measures prior to lifting cars such as by placing warning stickers on the abandoned vehicles, adding that they lift the vehicles after the allotted grace period ends. He stressed that these inspection campaigns, which are being executed by the department, are aimed at enhancing the cleanliness of the governorate and eliminating all negative aspects that distort its beautiful civilized landscape
