Mp Urges Health Minister To Issue A Decision On Public Health
MP Talal Al-Jallal urged the health minister to issue a decision according to Article Two of the law on health insurance for retirees (AFIA) to cover those with special needs. He cited Article 11 of the Constitution as follows: “The State ensures support for citizens who are old, sick or unable to work, in addition to provision of services like social security, social aid and medical care.” He added Article 15 of the Constitution states, “The State cares for public health by focusing on methods of prevention and treatment of diseases and epidemics.” In another development, MP Khaled Al- Shatti wishes for continuous cooperation between the legislative and executive branches in serving the interests of all Kuwaitis.
He asked the two authorities to focus on internal issues and human resources development by improving the educational, health and economic sectors as well as the governmental facilities. He stressed the need to ease work procedures in the private sector and to create job and selfdevelopment opportunities for the youths because they are the future of the nation. He also looks forward to witnessing efforts to fortify security sectors including the Ministry of Interior, Kuwait Army and National Guard. He expects 2017 to be the year for confronting and eliminating terrorism, “so we have to fully support the security bodies in maintaining internal security and protecting the country’s interests.”
