23 August 2021 Kuwait

The Civil Service Bureau and the Ministry of Finance approved an amount of KD 134,120,000 as rewards for the front-line workers in the Ministry of Health, for around 40,000 employees, Al Anbaa reported.

The sources told the daily that the Civil Service Bureau did not make any observations in the lists of the rewards of the front rows of the Ministry of Health.

The sources pointed out that the Civil Service Bureau and the Ministry of Finance informed the Ministry of Health that it bears responsibility for the correctness of the names, the number of employees, and the days calculated for each employee, as well as observing restrictions when disbursing rewards, including the inadmissibility of combining these rewards with any other rewards disbursed during the period from February 24, 2020, until May 31, 2020, as compensation for the same works stipulated in the Cabinet Resolution.

The rewards are only for government sector employees, and each employee must fill out an acknowledgment and pledge form before making the disbursement.

The Ministry of Health, based on the instructions of the Ministry of Finance and the Civil Service Commission, will form a grievance committee for employees regarding front-line bonuses after the disbursement process is completed.
