Moi Opens Booking For Residency Violators To Rectify Their Status
The online booking for residency violators to avail the amnesty announced by the Kuwait Government is activated at the MoI website. Expatriates who have residency violation on or before January 1st 2020 can avail this amnesty and correct his residency status or leave the country by paying the fines and without referring him to the investigation authorities.
MoI announced that the violators must obtain an online appointment to review the relevant residence affairs department by visiting the MoI website https://moi.gov.kw/main/.
The ministry indicated that in the event that an appointment is not available in their area, the system will transfer him to the next section according to the availability.
The Interior Ministry added that if the violator was Article 20 “Domestic Workers” and the sponsor is Kuwaiti, they must visit the service centers, and others are required to visit the residency affairs departments after taking the appointment.
Residency violators can utilize this opportunity to rectify their status or leave the country without being subjected to investigation authorities, starting from December 1st to December 31st.
Meanwhile, the Indian Embassy informed that the embassy had setup a special helpdesk for the assistance of those who wish to utilize this opportunity. Information regarding this will be available on a special helpline numbers 65806158, 65806735, 65807695, 65808923 from 08:00 am to 10:00 pm and on 65809348 from 10:00 pm to 08:00 am. Those who require travel documents may visit the helpdesk during office hours, the embassy informed.
