Moi Forms Panel To Monitor Escape Of Wanted Persons Through Exit Points Of The Country
Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Lt Gen Sheikh Khaled Al-Jarrah issued a decision to form an investigation committee to monitor the escape of wanted individuals involved in criminal cases via the exit points of the country, reports Al-Seyassah daily.
In a press release, the Public Relations and Security Media Department of Ministry of Interior declared that the committee launched its tasks from last Tuesday. MP Riyadh Al-Adsani welcomed this decision of Ministry of Interior, commending the efforts of the ministry to form the investigation committee to nab fugitives attempting to escape the country via the exit points. He warned of submitting an interpellation against the Minister of Interior if fugitives and people banned from traveling continue to escape from the country.
According to a security source, a well-known businessman was arrested prior to his attempt to escape from the country to avoid interrogations. Securitymen arrested him after receiving information that he is hiding in a fl at in Mahboula area and has been using that fl at for carrying out illegal activities.
