Ministers Urged To Dry All Sources Of Corruption In Governmental Bodies
The government has called on ministers to complete the steps specified by HH the Prime Minister Sheikh Jaber Al-Mubarak to dry all sources of corruption in governmental bodies, reports Al-Qabas daily. Knowledgeable sources pointed out that the success of the mechanism for combating bribery in governmental and private sectors lies in the coordinated efforts of ministers, as it focuses on monitoring bribery and to impose the harshest penalty on those proven guilty.
Sources said the government stressed the need for each minister to submit a report on the achievements of his ministry in terms of combating corruption. Sources added the government has no intention to tolerate corruption, even the least serious form of corruption.
Sources disclosed the government is waiting for completion of investigations on a number of corruption cases in public institutions to pave way for referral of erring officials to the concerned authorities.
