Minister's E-leave Proposal Approved By Csc
Dr. Ahmed Al-Awadhi, Minister of Health, has proposed that citizens can obtain sick leave without medical consultation through electronic platforms, thereby reducing the burden on primary health care centers and doctors. The Civil Service Commission has approved this proposal.
According to the Minister of Health's proposal, sick leave will be granted with full salary for the first fifteen days, half salary for the next fifteen days, a quarter salary for the third fifteen days, and without pay for the last fifteen days.
Furthermore, the proposal requires that the duration of sick leave granted to employees through electronic means does not exceed three days per month.
The nine benefits are as follows:
- Reduces the number of visitors
- Reduce attacks on medical personnel
- Regulates the work of family medicine clinics
- Reduces the request for unnecessary tests
- It reduces pressure on the automated health care system
- Reduces the number of patients per doctor
- It reduces the transition of doctors to administrative work
- Reduces the cost to the state
- It improves the quality of health services
