Measures To Improve Living Standards Are Discussed By The Kuwaiti Ministerial Committee

The latest data for December 2023 unveils significant insights into Kuwait's real estate landscape. With a staggering total of 18,700 vacant buildings, representing nearly 8.6% of the country's entire building stock, attention turns to utilization and occupancy dynamics.

Throughout 2023, Kuwait's building sector experienced notable growth, with a 1.4% increase in the total number of buildings. This uptick propelled the building count from 215,000 at the close of December 2022 to approximately 217,997 by December 2023, marking a net gain of 3,000 buildings within the span of a year.

Residential structures continue to dominate Kuwait's architectural makeup, comprising approximately 67.2% of the total building inventory. This translates to an impressive count of about 146,460 residential buildings. Following closely behind are buildings serving dual residential and commercial purposes, accounting for around 15.9% of the total building stock, equivalent to approximately 34,600 structures.
