Many Arrests In Jleeb Al-shuyoukh For Breaking Laws
A surprise inspection campaign was carried out last Friday that lead to the arrest of many people for violating commercial laws and operating shops from their houses in Jleeb Al-Shuyoukh, reported AL Qabas Daily.
Around 44 labor violations were observed in the Farwaniya Governorate, most of them in Jleeb Al-Shuyoukh area. Sources revealed that the committee found a grocery operating from inside a house in the area and an unlicensed food store containing dozens of consumables which had a group of customers.
A secret opening led to the grocery store inside an Arab type house although from the outside the door was cemented and closed permanently. The committee also seized iron scrap and auto repair and paint workshops operating without a license, as well as arrested dozens of workers who were working for a private company, but were now violators of labor law.
