Man Violating Curfew Opens Fire At Police In Abu Al-hassaniya
An unidentified person allegedly fired at a police patrol when the patrolmen manning a checkpoint in Abu Al-Hassaniya demanded to see the man’s ID and permit why he was out on the streets during the curfew hours.
In the passenger seat was a woman and the suspect, who appeared abnormal, allegedly stepped on the gas pedal and escaped. He was hotly pursued by the police and the former fired at the police patrol.
A security source added one of the patrols chased him until he stopped suddenly alongside another car, came out of the car armed with a weapon and fired in the air and threatened to shoot anyone if they approached him. He then got into another car and escaped leaving behind the woman who then drove off in the suspect’s car.
The source stated when police combed the area, they found one of the vehicles abandoned in the area. The car has been impounded. Police are investigating the incident.
